The first Bill that I will promote as Minnesota's Senator will be the Take a Bite Out of Crime Bill
The first tenet in the Make Americans Makers Again (MAMA) movement is public safety. Citizens in all communities need to feel safe when they focus their attention in the development of the skills needed for modern manufacturing and other creative activities . Minnesota public policy has to support law enforcement
In order to promote and support law enforcement, we need to help individuals pursuing a career in law enforcement with financial assistance to pay for the education they will need to be successful professional law enforcement officers..
The Take a Bite Out of Crime Bill will expanded Pell grants for law enforcement students and offer loan forgiveness to individuals that prove that they are competent law enforcement officers. The longer the individual pursues a career in law enforcement- professionally and competently-incremental loan forgiveness will be proffered.
The Take a Bite Out of Crime Bill will also provide federal incentives for tough jurisdictions that are having problems in recruiting the competent and professional law enforcement officers.
